The members of Ecclesia Domestica are homeschooling parents who work together to promote homeschooling and to assist one another in the Catholic education of their children at home. Ecclesia Domestica endeavors to help make the Catholic family home the center of a living, radiant faith and offer homeschooling Catholics the prayerful support, resources, and activities that help the home become a "domestic church" where holiness blossoms. Ecclesia Domestica, erected by His Excellency Archbishop Burke in 2007, is a Public Association of the Faithful in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Ecclesia Domestica supports Catholic parents who exercise their duties as primary educators of their children through homeschooling. Ecclesia Domestica is faithful to the Magisterium of the Church and is under the Archbishop of Saint Louis.

News From the Council

Monsignor Timothy Cronin is our new Chaplain!

It is a great pleasure to announce that Archbishop Carlson has appointed Msgr. Timothy Cronin as the new chaplain of Ecclesia Domestica.  Our purpose, as an association of the faithful, is to support Catholic home school parents in their obligation and right to educate their children.  As chaplain, Msgr. Cronin will assist in fulfilling our purpose and promote the spiritual well-being of our members.

2012 First Communion and Confirmation information

One of the objectives of Ecclesia Domestica is to encourage parents, under the guidance of their pastors, to properly instruct and prepare their children to receive the sacraments.  Archbishop Carlson has instructed our member families to have their children receive the sacraments of First Holy Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation at their home parish.  Families may request to join Ecclesia Domestica to receive any of these sacraments at St. Elizabeth of Hungary (Msgr. Cronin’s current parish) with written permission from their pastor.
